After Cilmeri

After admitting below that I don't read much fiction, it's hardly surprising that I'd never heard of the after-Cilmeri novels of American author Sarah Woodbury.  Here we find her mooching around Aberedw Castle and almost revealing the location of the snap at the top of this blog.

I clicked on your link to the author of the Cilmeri series and saw that Amazon stated "her own interest in Wales stems from her own ancestry and the year she lived in England when she fell in love with the country language and people".
Am I confused or are they implying Wales is part of England?

I wouldn't be surprised if the "for Wales see England" mentality made a comeback.

It's when Welsh people say things like "we met another English couple" or "we couldn't wait to get back to England" that my heart starts to sink a bit.

Hi Alan! I wasn't implying that Wales is part of England--heaven forbid!

I was at Cambridge University so I lived in England--but traveled to Wales when I could. It seemed too long to say all that. Maybe I should rewrite it ...

Shame you've not more time for fiction, RR. Judging by the people who manifest their appreciation on Sarah Woodbury's webpage, you could become the first bloke to read these books.

I'm sure Ms Woodbury's books have a wider readership than my blog.

Perhaps I should be more sociable and join facebook or twitter.
