If only the moaning and whining of this town could be harnessed into some kind of clean energy source. We could make a fortune powering half of Wales. BTW, Llandoddies: If I had my way they would get a lot worse treatment that a bit of paint. A country as rich in folklore as ours and we have to make up childish crap like that. Perhaps if the Brummie incomers bothered to read a bit of the Mabinogi rather than pretending they were living in Ludlow our real heritage might get a bit more respect.
Taking photos of rubbish and reprinting stories that can be found in the local paper doesn't seem to be particularly insightful.
I'm no fan of PCC either, but not everything is their fault. Perhaps this blogger should take issue with the individuals that leave their litter behind in the first place.
There are nice people in Llandrindod, there just aren't enough of them.
Incidentally, my rudimentary knowledge of such things leads me to believe that elvish creatures guarding springs is a feature of Germanic mythology. Celtic spring guardians are much more likely to take the form of magical animals and particularly fish such as salmon.
The author of the Llandoddie book is one Griswallt Ap Llechitwyt, a name which, to me at, least seems an attempt to mock our traditional patronym system. That this colonalist nonsense was printed by Lolfa is particulary sad.
Oops. My mistake. Fortunately I wasn't about to organise an angry mob of local men, perhaps dressed as women, to attack the place. Be interesting to see what would happen to the station if the pie-in-the-sky plans to re-instate the railway ever came to anything.

I've been trying to think of something remotely pleasant to say about the Llandoddies ........

Bellamy actually resides in Aberedw. It's the Cunningham's who live at the grotesque chocolate box parody that Erwood station has become.
