Not much to do with Radnorshire

What do you do if you're broke, no-one will lend you money because your credit rating is through the floor and you've sold off the last of grandpa's silver?  Well one option is to go on the rob, which is basically what Western foreign policy is all about.

The juciest plum in the locality is the Russian Federation, rich in oil and gas, minerals, wheat, timber all those goodies waiting to be stolen to keep the West afloat.  Forget that stuff about democracy, international law etc.  It's about loot.  No need to believe me since it's openly admitted by a variety of Western leaders from Von Der Leyen up.

And of course Russia is weak and Putin is an unpopular despot, it's ripe for the picking. Except of course it isn't, he isn't and the West's plan to use simple, corrupt Ukraine to topple the deck has failed miserably.

What now?  A graceful exit?  Not likely, more of the same, even risking nuclear war while driving China and Russia into an even closer alliance.  Oh and let's force the Global South to take sides .. Guess what they're not choosing you.

Blackmail and bribery are the only explanations as to why the European leaders go along with this self-evident nonsense, but what about the minions?  The journalists and various other apparatchiks who oil the wheels of self-destruction - put that down to mortgages.  You don't need strongarm tactics in a time of near universal debt.

Unfortunately for Wales our intellectual class are fully on board with the globalist project. Of course they may be unsettled by all those videos of dismembered children coming out of Gaza but otherwise they've swallowed it all, the jab, the climate racket, the rules based international order etc.  It doesn't augur well for Wales and the Welsh language when the whole rotten structure collapses.  We've put far too many eggs in the Western basket.

  1. Is it me or has the national movement gone into hiding? We had the YesCymru flurry a few years ago but everything feels subdued compared to say 25 years ago (I'm not old enough to remember the 60s). Our nationalists had plenty to say about World affairs in the 20th century when we were truly dominated by Brit media... why are we so quiet in an age of accessible global information?

  2. I remember Gwynfor flying to Hanoi in 1968 hoping to act as a human shield against the American bombing. In the immediate postwar period Plaid Cymru assisted Breton nationalist seeking to escape French recriminations, it's hard to imagine such a principled although unpopular and potentially dangerous stand being taken today.

For me things changed with the Yugoslav wars and the Serbs bad agenda which dominated the mainstream media, since then - with the exception of Palestine - the globalist viewpoint has dominated. I guess the pro-Palestine position has deeper roots and is seen from a liberal Eurocentric position - colonialism bad, brown people good. Many of the other hotspots are too complicated for our current University types to understand - the hotchpotch of Balkan nationalities, the national minorities of Ukraine and their treatment, the national question in Russia and China etc. Throw in the generation of careerists employed by the state and their mortgages - there's little motive to question the status quo and a mainstream media captured by the deep state.

Perhaps it will be the children of the current generation of apparatchiks, with access to all the sources of alternative media who will get Wales back on track as part of the multipolar world rather than as a fellow traveller of tthe failing Anglo-Saxon empire.

  3. Russian colonialism of an older ethnic Ukrainian people is also bad

  4. I'm not sure why Russia always gets the blame for supposed Soviet transgressions? If anything Soviet nationalities policies were aimed at minimising the influence of Russia by handing over traditional Russian lands to peripheral republics and encouraging the use of minority languages.
